Το θέμα της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας, oι έμφυλες αναπαραστάσεις στη τηλεοπτική σειρά Game of Thrones συνδυάζει τους τομείς των πολιτισμικών σπουδών, της λαογραφίας , των Σπουδών Φύλου και Μ.Μ.Ε. Δεδομένων ότι το Game of Thrones παραμένει δημοφιλές ακόμα και μετά το πέρας της προβολής του, οι Σπουδές Φύλου χαίρουν περισσότερης αναγνωρισιμότητας πλέον και η γράφουσα υπήρξε μέλος της αρθρογραφικής ομάδας Game of Thrones Gr Fans, ο σκοπός αυτής της εργασίας είναι η μελέτη των ηρωίδων και η έμφυλη αναπαράσταση του GoT σύμπαντος, όπως αποτυπώνονται στη τηλεοπτική σειρά μέσα από μια φεμινιστική προσέγγιση. Τα δεδομένα έχουν συλλεχθεί μέσω ποιοτικής έρευνας, αξιοποιώντας το συνδυασμό στρατηγικών δειγματοληψίας. Καθώς επιδιώκεται μια επιμέρους μελέτη των πτυχών του παραπάνω φαινομένου, θα μελετηθεί η τηλεοπτική σειρά Game of Thrones. Συγκεκριμένα, γίνονται ερμηνευτικές αναλύσεις λόγου και εικόνας των ηρωίδων της σειράς βάσει των αναλυτικών κατηγοριών του φύλου και της πολιτισμικής αναπαράστασης και σε διάλογο με τη σχετική με το θέμα βιβλιογραφία. The subject of this thesis, Female representation in the television series Game of Thrones, combines the fields of cultural studies, folklore, gender and media studies. Considering that Game of Thrones remains popular, the field of gender studies gained more awareness and the writer has been a member of the blog Game of Thrones GR Fans, the purpose of this thesis is to study specific main heroines and the female representation of the GoT universe, as reflected in the television series through a feminist approach. The data has been collected through quality research, utilizing the combination of sampling methodologies. As an individual study of the aspects of this phenomenon is sought, the Game of Thrones television series will be studied. Specifically, there will be interpretative analyzes of discource and image of the heroines of the tv series, based on the analytical categories of gender and cultural representation, combined with the annotated literature.
