Intersection of UX and agileprocessHow User Experience professionals handle theproblems while working in agile process

The Agile development process is getting famous in the industry and adopted by manycompanies on smaller and larger scales. Agile is being used by UX designers, researchers andwriters. The integration of agile and UX processes brings many benefits; but it causes UXprofessionals to encounter many challenges. Several researchers have identified challengesencountered by UX professionals when they work in an agile environment. The purpose of thisstudy is to gain a better understanding about these problems from UX professionals'perspectives and how they handle those problems in practice.The technique used to gather data is purposeful sampling and semi-structured interviews wereconducted digitally over zoom. The interviews were then transcribed into text and then thetranscripts were analyzed by using thematic analysis. The identified problems and theirsolutions are presented thematically. Main findings regarding problems are lack of time,communication, frequent changes in requirements, and others. Also, a list of success factors ispresented, based on the analysis of the data gathered.The findings are discussed and compared to the existing literature. The results from this studycan hopefully contribute to support UX professionals working in agile environments to bettercope with these problems as it also offers identified solutions that are used in practice . Anadditional contribution is the list of recommendations or success factors which can help inavoiding and preventing these problems to occur in the first place. Ideas for how futureresearch can be carried out about this topic is also presented.
